Orphans is a series of short works which incorporate early silent movies, daguerreotype portraits and “orphan” films and re-contextualises them as audio-video intermedia shorts.

The works draw inspiration from wabi sabi – the Japanese aesthetic philosophy of impermanence, and use found materials, both sonically and visually.  They can be viewed here.

Ross Whyte is a composer based in Scotland.
